WORS Cup Cross-country p/b Trek

As the USA Cycling Regional Mountain Bike Championships, this event will determine the 2017 champions in the discipline of mountain bike cross-county.

Course:
The Cascade Mountain Cross-Country course takes it up a notch with a challenging mix of punchy climbs, forested single-track, technical descents, rock gardens, switchbacks and fast traverses while providing options for racers of all abilities. Racers pass through the area in front of the lodge several times each lap to provide outstanding spectator opportunities.
Maps of the 2017 WORS Cup XC courses will be available June 15th.  Course changes and enhancements for 2017 center on increased spectator accessibility with more of the course closer to the start/finish area.

XC Registration:

  • Pre-Register ONLINE at www.wors.org before midnight July 18th or by mail before July 15th
  • Late / On-site Registration – Fri. 1-6 PM, Saturday 7:30 AM  until 1/2 hour before your race

XC Entry Fees:
Pre-Registration Online or Mail-in:

  • Elite (Pro & Cat 1) – $36.93
  • Cat 1 Juniors (Racing age 15-18)- $30.60 (UCI International or USA Cycling Mtn Cat 1 license required). No One Day license option
  • Cat 2 (19 & over) – $31.65 With USA Cycling Mountain Annual License, $41.65 with One Day USA Cycling License
  • Cat 3 (19 & over) – $29.54 With USA Cycling Mountain Annual License, $39.54 with One Day USA Cycling License
  • Cat 2 18 & under – $24.27 With USA Cycling Mountain Annual License, $34.27 with One Day USA Cycling License
  • Junior & Cat 3 18 & under – $22.16 With USA Cycling Mountain Annual License, $32.16 with One Day USA Cycling License

Late or On-site Registration:

  • Elite (Pro & Cat 1) – $43
  • Cat 1 Juniors (Racing age 15-18) – $37 (UCI International or USA Cycling Cat 1 license required). No One Day license option.
  • Cat 2, 19 & over – $38 With USA Cycling Mountain Annual License, $48 with One Day USA Cycling License.
  • Cat 3, 19 & over – $36 With USA Cycling Mountain Annual License, $46 with One Day USA Cycling License.
  • Cat 2, 18 & under – $30 With USA Cycling Mountain Annual License, $40 with One Day USA Cycling License.
  • Cat 3 & Junior 18 & under – $28 With USA Cycling Mountain Annual License, $38 with One Day USA Cycling License..

All USA Cycling License holders must present their license at race registration to avoid being charged for a one day license fee.

XC Awards:

Eligibility USA Cycling Regional Championship Awards – is based on the following requirements being met:

  1. The racer must have current USA Cycling  or UCI annual license and be in good standing.
  2. The  racer must be a resident of Midwest region states, IA, IL, IN, KY, MI, MN, MO, NE, ND, OH, SD, WI as verified by their license.

USA Cycling Regional Championship Medals (RCM):

  • 3 places deep (MMCM medals for 4th & 5th) for Pro, Elite, Cat 1, Masters, Junior, and Cat 2 classes
  • Should a racer place in the top 3 and not be eligible for a RCM, a MMCM will be awarded.  Placing will not be passed down.

PLEASE HAVE YOUR USA CYCLING LICENSE WITH YOU AT AWARDS!

Midwest MTB Championship Medals (MMCM):

  • 5 places deep for Cat 3

Pro & Cat 1 Cash Purse:

  • $1500 for Pro men & women (5 places deep, equal men and women)
  • $500 for Cat 1 men & women (5 places deep overall and merchandise prizes 3 place deep per class). Racers will be awarded for both overall and class placing (no exclusions).
